# About NFT

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are distinct data units that are kept on blockchains and have only one owner because they are not transferable. NFTs can be displayed as creative work in the form of art, music, film, and other media. NFTs are unique because they operate in a decentralized environment, where they are monitored on the underlying blockchains and give recipients proof of ownership.
